NAMES and EMC

HI Guys;
The NAMES Exposition is coming up soon and I'm tring to figure out if
anyone will be doing CNC seminars? Seems like there is very little
on line with respect to scheduled seminars or maybe I just can't find
such informaiton. What I was looking for is a seminar that gives one
a good intro to EMC.
My first time attending a NAMES expostion was last year and I went with
the intention of attending one of the seminars then, but was completely
distracted by the rather impressive showings.
AS to the EMC Spring Meetings that I'm also hearing about, they are
apparently a seprate effort? Are the meetings suitable for a novice
to EMC but not machine controls in general. In otherwords are the
meetings focused solely on developers.
The reason I ask is that the info page on the spring meetings left me a
bit unsure of the focus and then EMC-Fest seems to be a completely
different ball game. I noticed a request for hardware, while I can't
offer a CNC system I do have a PC that is allocatted to a Home brew CNC
system if the time and $$$ ever come together at the same time. In
fact I'm slowly collecting hardware to build that CNC system so I
actually have a collection of stuff, what do you need?
As you can see a bit of last minute planning on my part.
