I am fairly happy with mine. It is a low budget machine that I pretty
much threw together. It uses toothed belts instead of ballscrews or
racks and pinions.

The main things I would change if I started again are:
1) Use the belts like racks - The belts would be fixed to the machine.
2) Better design Z axis carriage - mine is a bit too crude.
3) Run the gantry on bright mild steel bars instead of directly on the
box section frame.
