RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] EMC pendant?

I've just finished building one (based on MACH2, but concept should work
fine for EMC). A couple of early construction snapshots are in the files
section of the DIY-CNC Yahoo group.

Save yourself a LOT of effort and use a keyboard emulator instead of hacking
an old keyboard. Good keyboard emulators are easy to wire and fully
programmable. An example is the I-PAC from www.ultimarc.com . It's less
than $40 (plus shipping). Other more versatile ones (can do extensive
macros) are available at a higher price from Hagstrom.

Be aware that discrete switches as found on the I-PAC and some (not all) of
the Hagstrom units are a big safety advantage over matrix type arraignments.

Unless you are strapped for cash (or if you value your time at less than
minimum wage), do yourself a favor and save the headache of trying to
interface to a keyboard.
