From reading the group, I have gotten the idea that you should design th
epower supply to support about 2/3 of max current per motor, so you would be
able to use a 4A supply in your case. This might make it easier to build(or
not; if you find the 6A components for around the same price, you might as
well go for it).
You might want to try asking Mariss directly what hookup he recommends for
your motors, and that will determine the voltage and current ratings you
should use. I know when I did that, his answer changed my plans
considerably, as he recommended a different wiring for my 8-wire motors, and
a lower max current setting than I had planned on.
