You want stranded wire, preferably with lots of hair-thin strands
rather than just a couple of thick strands. Braided shielding is
better than non-braided (foil), but unless you have unusual conditions,
they generally will work without shielding. You don't need
individually shielded pairs, just one overall shield will usually
do fine.
