What are you using to generate the original drawings?
For CAM in 2-1/2d, I am very impressed with Sheetcam, which is currently in
beta testing, and is free until it's official release. You can register and
download it at www.sheetcam.com
It includes tutorials which can help to explain some of this stuff. It's a
little rough right now, but it works!

Subject: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] help on software
Hi
Just joined the group, but been working on my CNC project for a few
months. I've purchased several plans to build a CNC milling machine
for wood working.
I have a Xylotex 3-Axis Board running 3 steppers just fine.
Since I'm new at this I have downloaded several CAM, NC, and
simulator programs but am having a hard time running them. The
documentation is not complete and few have a tutorial.
I am only using this as a hobby and am somewhat limited on cash.
Which programs (CAM, NC, Simulator, etc) would you recommend and is
there a good way to learn how to use them ( I'm new at this) ?
Any and all help is appreciated.
thanks Bob
