That accuracy is pretty demanding for that thickness
in steel...For that accuracy your looking more toward
CNC laser. Plasma vs waterjet...there are many
arguements for both. Waterjet is a bit more accurate
than plasma, but dont forget that you have to buy lots
of abrasive material....compressed air is virtually
free. Smoke is generated by the plasma
cutting....water clouds with dust are generated by the
waterjet(which is usually contained). Both stink (half
smile) as far as the smoke/dust created unless that is
sucked away and cleaned. Best bet? Call a waterjet
cutter and plasma and ask what you can expect for
accuracy and cost.
