It's not plastic, it's a Very low cost press on metalic teflon
coating bearing.
ok, for things like doing pcb, or ploters.
I've made a machine for doing pcb's, it's being used for routing the
pcb's out of the panel, they use a 27,000 rpm router made by bosch.
and it last about 6 months before replacing ball bearings.
