I can understand that.

I can already see some things I'd like to make, and possibly even a
dedicated cnc machine to do PC Boards.

I'm more of a hardware guy than a software guy and I tend to only
write software when it is necessary and not so much as for fun,
though I have found it's a lot easier to write a few lines of code in
a micro controller than it is to solder up a bunch of chips.

Now as for Metal working.... That is something I have always loved.
