VFD motors speeds

When using VFD's that put out high HZ how do you choose a motor since they
are based on 60hz what is the max RPM of a standard motor if not rated? I
know some motors are rated for 400hz that are made for routing ect but what
about regular motors are you able to use a regular motor at more than 60hz
