Hello,
In the last several weeks I have seen a couple of Maryland addresses for
CCED list members. So I thought I would share this local CNC group
announcement with the list.
I belong to Chesapeake Area Metalworking Society,
(http://www.cams-club.org/). This is an amateur machinist club in the
MD, DC, VA area that meets monthly. It is free and open to all. Although
the club title says "Metalworking" I can assure you that there is an
incredibly broad spectrum of skills and interests within the group.
Six months ago we started a monthly subgroup for CNC. The next meeting
is Thur this week, 9 Sep 2004 7:30pm, in Springfield Virginia.
This group is new and pretty free flowing. I am not even sure of the
topic for this month, although we have a few to choose from.
Below are some of the topics covered at the first six meetings. There is
a also plenty of chit chat before and after the lecture and sometimes
demos and hands-on.
