Q:Does anybody have experience machining teflon parts?
A: It machines well it can take heat well and will not melt easily but it is
very soft and malleable so it will tend to deflect or suck into the cutter
and it will generally drill under size. I have found it distorts quite a bit
also, so roughing everything then finishing is generally needed. The biggest
problem with machining Teflon is holding it. It is so slick and soft take
care in clamping, too hard will distort to lose will be ugly (part will go
flying). For your first time I suggest cutting it leaving lots of stock on and
release the part see how it is measures. Good Luck
