In the next message I will send my first draft of a product requirenets
document. This will specify how I see CPNC working. There has already
been some discussion here and I have factored that into the spec.

A word on the process. I expect the document to generate a lot of
feedback and suggestion, but PLEASE PLEASE do NOT quote the entire
document in every response. Be considerate of the other readers and only
quote the line or paragraph you are refering to. Even if your mail
reader program automatically inserts the entire note as a reply you have
the ability to drag the mouse over the uneeded parts and delete them.

After a week or so of discussion I will consolidate the responses and
produce a revised doc. That will get posted to a web site and will
become the spec of CPNC, V1.

I have had a few messages off line about the choice of Perl vs Tcl.
Since Tcl is ready now, and seems slightly eaiser to get runing under
Windows, Im going to proceed with it. A coule guys are already looking
at the data structure problems and I think we can work out a good
approach.

I will next start a doc to define the program structure and conventions
to use in the code. This will also be posted here, but if it seems to be
getting into to much program detail we will consider monving it to just
the list of people that will actually write code.

On that note I have a few volunteers already, more can be used. If you
see a module of this that you want to 'own' please let me know.
