I doubt that. Do you really believe Grizzley TESTED the machine to
MEASURE power limits?
Or even more unlikely that someone DESIGNED it to limits.

I bet they call is a 1/2" capacity because it has a 1/2" drill chuck.

As someone noted, you surely can run a 3" face mill over a light
aluminum cut on this macine. And you probably could not drill a 1/4"
hole in a piece of titanium for example.

The old classic game of marketing!

It would be nice if their web site gave simple measurements for
specs,like length and width and hp and let a user make his own
judgements to work capacity.
