Thanks to Chuck, Roy and Hugh,
I was able to communicate with the indexer after jumpering RTS to CTS and DSR to DTR. Thank you for persevering.
Unfortunately I ended up disabling the indexers after all anyway. I was under the impression from the manual that I could program
some of the inputs to accept step and direction from an outside source but was mistaken. I now have all 3 drives responding to Mach2
directly after figuring out which pins to use by trial and error if only at 300RPM and in one direction only. I call that progress
anyway.
