Hi
I asked this same question some time back on the (mach1mach2CNC) list
and Art answered that Mach2 is already designed to talk to the encoder
as long as it is a 5 Volt all you have to do is feed it 5 Volts and tie
the out put to 2 pins on the parallel port and go into the mach2 setup
and let it know what pins you are using .
There are some instructions in the manual also that will help .
