well, I've checked Microkinetics catalog, and I think it would be
maybe the same price for a servo system.
PIC designs have a servo controller for about $200.00 per axis.
I think that to have a closed loop system with stepper motors will
end up costing almost as a servo system.
I will stick with steppers for now,and maybe upgrade it to servos
in the future.
Some one asked what is the difference between drivers,I don't know
much but,it looks like bipolar drivers have more power on the same
size motor than unipolar.
My driver was working preaty good on my ex sherline I'll keep using
it but with bigger motors(around 200oz.)
