help /dev/hda5 errors

I went to boot up emc tonight after sitting all summer and got the
following

/Dev/hda5 conains a file system with errors. check forced
/dev/hda5: UNEXPECTED Inconsistency: Run.fsck manually
(ie., without -a or -p options)

any one know whats up
