SuperMax is good bet. Jet is probably OK. I have been told by a
tool-importer that there are 27 firms in Taiwan which do knock-offs, and those two and
one other (name unknown to me) make "OK stuff", but the other 24 firms make,
well, Edsel-Studebakers!

Join a metalworking club. Their members have good pre-owned stuff for sale
from time to time. There are too many GOOD clubs on the Internet to LINK
them all here (I only have links for a couple, anyway!), so GO for it!
