There are a few sites around like CNCkits that sells power supplies. They might be able to provide you a power supply for your motors. The ones they have are like 72 volts DC, they may have others. I've heard of a few people using variable transformers as a power supply. Finding a used power supply that is exactly right for your servos would be luck at best. I looked at the ad for your servos and the encoder resolution seems a bit high, they need to be about 1000 counts per rev (250 quadrature) for Geckos and windows based software. The ad mentions that he has other encoders available. Tell him whatever drive you'll be using and whatever reduction you plan to use as well as the software. Like the Gecko 320 requires an encoder rated at 5 volts and 50mA or less draw. Otherwise you'll need a separate power supply for the encoders instead of just running them right off the Gecko. Those servos should be ok for X and Y with a 2 or 3:1 reduction but I dont think they are large enough to
drive the knee. To use one of those for Z it would be powering the spindle. I'm thinking a power supply with about 34 volts DC output and around 10 amps. Which would be a 24 volt @10 amp AC secondary transformer through a 50 volt 45k uf Capacitor and 50 volt 20 amp bridge rectifier. It would put out around 34 volts DC with the RMS. The best thing to do is direct that question to the group here as many here are much more qualified to answer it than I.

OK Ron. I am comitting to servo's. You are the man!!!
I bought 3 servo's on E-bay.

I think they should be good units for my Bridgeport.

Now, do you have a schematic for your power supply? or did you
just wing it? What are the spec's on it?

Thanks,
Scott
