Sounds pretty neat, Dan.
I have been looking for a Minolta 1500 that esentially does the same
thing. They used the MetaCreations MetaStream technology...of which
has been (I believe) bought up by Immersion.
I would be interesting to see your setup and the quality of the files
that it produces. I have done a ton of research on 3D cameras and
digitizing...Some great...other less than ideal even after hours of
stitching in Raindrop.
Other possibilities I have investigated include GTCO Freepoint,
LaserRanger (too slow) and Acuity.
If your product can produce nice clean files with decent accuracy
(.01" or better) then I would say you have yourself a real
blockbuster!
