Pretty cool vid, Gerry. Nothing wrong with using steppers if you keep
things within the torque range.

The max 1500 spindle speed is going to hinder you...start working on
finding another motor that goes up to at least 3500 RPM. Your cutting
speed is limited right now by the spindle RPM. You can sometimes
cheat with multi-fluted tools to get the chipload in the right range.

Google Chipload and read about it.
