Last year I bought a Series 1 with a Boss 3 controller. I removed
Boss controls and wired the Sigma motors to Geckos to be run off my
PC. After some struggling, I finally got the motors to respond via
the keyboard inputs....not too bad....001" backlash on Y and .002"
backlash on the X.
The Z motor is not working due to it being rusted, yep, I forgot that
when I had the machine transported, it was raining, the machine had
been wrapped up, but evidently not well enough.
I need to download the latest version of turboCNC since I am still
running a 2 or 3 year old version and since I paid and registered for
it, I might as well upgrade.
If anyone has a motor or can recommend a good replacement motor
that'll fit with minimal fabrication, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mike
