Sonic Events provides voice messages to users of OpenCNC.
Well you had to ask!
Sound is useful for just about any sort of of software provided the user
has control over the use of the sound. Even with CNC sound can be
usefully employed to do things like signal the end of a very long
program. Granted the easy way to do this with CNC is to hook up one
of your spare outputs to a buzzer, but what happens if you don't have
that spare buzzer?
Then there are things like hooking up your tool to a voice coil synced
to your spindle on a lathe. A nice way to turn things just so slightly
out of round.
