An auction bonus gives me ten spare, brand new, Helical Couplers.
For those unfamiliar with them, they are a very cool, zero lash method of
coupling two shafts (like a leadscrew and motor) that are _pretty_ close
to perfect alignment, but not quite.
They allow for an axial misalignment of up to 1/32" and/or some angular
misalignment as well.
Mine are part number MC7C125-16-12 .. 1/2" at one end, 3/8" at the other.
Pics (of two used ones) are at
http://www3.telus.net/aree/helical1.jpg
http://www3.telus.net/aree/helical2.jpg
and the manufacturer's data can be found at
http://www.heli-cal.com/Html/Products/CoupGuid/MCSeries/index.htm
I'm looking for $12.00 USD each for them (plus postage) or $100.00 for all
ten. I _think_ they're worth a whole lot more, but I don't need them and
see no need to hold them until I die (which is a huge change in attitude for
me, believe me).
Otherwise, I guess it's eBay.
