Due to over-collecting various bits, and something bigger and more
exciting on the way, I need to make some room in the shed! All these
were obtained in the hope of doing something, as ususal, I didn;t get
around to it ... still .. there you go, thats life. So ... heres my
chance to pass this stuff on to you keen builders. Its all good value,
photos available if you want them.
Here you go .. cheap .. ballscrews, servos, encoders, linear rails,
drives, and LOT of useful bits to build something ... all working ..
and currently in one nice big lump .. a Rodes-Pierce-all CNC punch. 12
station turret punch, was working perfectly till we moved it, the
control wont load Gcode from the PC anymore ... no time to fix it, no
room for it. The only stipulation is you take the lot ... no taking
the drives off it and leaving the rest. We can arrange transport, but
you'll have to pay for that yourself. Take it away for 100 quid and
we're happy. Feel free to haggle :) Its big and heavy, take it away,
dismantle what you need, weigh the rest in for scrap.
A ferranti 2 axis bed, 3kw AC servos, ballscrews, linear rails, big
control cabinet with 2 AC servo drives, "Saphire" CNC controller,
roughly 5 by 3 foot cutting area .. would make a nice router .. all
seems to work, not wired up since we moved it .. offers around £500
A ferranti 450W slow-flow CO2 laser ... 2 power supplies with all the
gas control gear, new glassware, theres a cutting head and a torch
height controlelr too. this is an older laser, but has very low laser
gas consumption, easy to operate and superb beam quality from its
extremely long tube layout. Will cut 3mm steel. Use it with the bed
above (as it was originally) for a CNC laser, or just burn things for
fun. We need to see about 1000 GBP for the laser.
A Trumpf 1200 watt CO2 laser head and all power supplies and control
gear. This is a current spec TLF1200 head, VERY low turbine hours,
capable of cutting 12mm steel. These are 80K new, and this one has
seen very little use. £2000 and its yours.
I think theres an Electrox 100W CO2 laser available too, it can be
dragged out and fired up if theres any interest.
Lasers are a bit like buses, when you want one, you cant find one,
then several of them turn up all at once!
