Luke and Bill,
I bought one of those snap-kits from radio shack to learn more about electronics pertaining to CNC. It's a great kit but, the manual doesn't really explain much. If the manual went in depth to explain the circuit, it would be much more useful. I learned a bit using it. It just shows how the circuit is constructed and gives very general or no explanation of why it works. It covers IC's microprocessors, resistors, capacitors, etc. It's about $60. Even the way the lessons are laid out is wrong. It starts with complex circuits with no explanation at all.
