I did not notice any mention of the offerings from Parallax. They offer a
number of free downloadable tutorials, and hardware kits to support those
kits. Their focus is microcontrollers (i.e., the Basic Stamp series), but
nontheless are an excellent source. Their support fora are, in my opion
second to none with respect to quick answers, highly focused content, and
3rd party contributors that share their vision.
Their main site is http://www.parallax.com/, but you probably want to look
at their StampsInClass materials on
http://www.parallax.com/html_pages/edu/index.asp.
