ready to use small routers

A friend has asked me if I know of any very small CNC ready routers
suitable for making small parts. He was considering a Proxxon mill
but the options on ready to go are limited, I suggested he may also
grow out of the proxxon and as he has very little free time it would
be better to get it right first time.
If anyone can make suggestions I would appreciate it.
Other small mills are of course an option, I have directed him to
Taig and Sherline varients but they may just be overkill in some ways
as he is not so interested in metal cutting.
