Standardized Connectors?

Hi guys,

I've been looking into connectors for my servos and encoders. Is there
an industry standard series or specific type of connector for these
applications? Is there a place where I can look up this information? I
don't want to get just any connector that will work, I'd rather have a
more universal system.
