Three people I know who run DeskCNC find it OK for simple day to day tasks.
All three have had support issues. When I tried to help one person Fred Smith became very abusive on the DIY-CNC list and refused to answer the guys question.
I think his exact term was:-
"It's my sandbox, if you don't want to play in it go somewhere else"
Also all three are on the early version of the firmware and so later upgrades won't work for them.
There is no upgrade path for firmware, you have to buy again.
At least with Mach2/3 there are no firmware issus and as many have said one computer as a dedicated controller works fine.
Lets face it if you were to buy a Fanuc at $12,000 to $18,000 you wouldn't be able to read email on that.
