Oh, I did not mean ballast resistor. Even in the chopper driver, you would
set up maximum current to match the motor capacity. Gecko type drivers
require you to attach an external resistor to limit the current. There are
other drivers that would provide a potentiometer or a gang of resistors to
select from. A simple check could save you lots of trouble.
