Opinions on some stepper motors please?

There are a bunch of Slo-Syn stepper motors being auctioned
on ebay and it looks like the going rate may be around $15.
The description of the motors is:

150 oz in hold unipolar (>200 oz in bipolar)
8 wire
200 steps per revolution
2.2V 4.6A per phase
NEMA 23 Raised Face with Oversized shaft
Dual shaft
Can anyone point out anything which might make these motors
such a good deal? The oversized shafts may not be should
a good thing but for $15 who knows.
Also how are 8 wire motors driven?
