To avoid electrocution:\
Put a GFI outlet (Ground Fault Interupter) anyplace
you are going to working on the device. These
are relatively cheap and will replace a standard outlet.
Be sure the power is OFF when changing the outlet.
The GFI makes sure that the only path for the electricity
is thru the GFI. If some of the electricity tries to go to ground
by way of another path, it shuts off the source of electricity.
They are required in bathrooms where there is bare skin and
some very good ground paths. If your electric shaver were
to short out the cutting head and you were to apply the metal
head to your face, you might get shocked without the GFI.
