There is some information on my web page.
For any CNC machine there are several parts. First you will need a Cad
program to create the cad drawing of the part that you want to machine.
The second part is the Cam program that reads the Cad file and converts the
drawing into a machine readable file.
Next you will need a control program like Mach2 that will read the machine
control file and then send the proper step and direction signals to a
stepper motor or servo motor driver. The driver then sends the proper
signals to the stepper motors that in turn move the axis on your machine.
