Heidhenhain conversion

I've got some Heidenhain scales that give their ~1vpp output.
I gather that the circuitry to convert this output to TTL isn't too
complex but does anyone have a suitable circuit desgin to hand - I'm
not entirely allegic to electronics but frankly designing from scratch
is beyond me.
