I would need to know a lot more about your application to advise
on the proper size.

Ballscrews in the 5mm and 5.08/0.2" are pretty widely available from
Hiwin, THK, and others.

If you found a particular high pitch surplus screw that would require
gearing
it might not be worth the trouble...the gears need to be expensive, accurate
low backlash types.

I'm after some advice on using a ball screw with a larger pitch.

The optimal ballscrew / leadscrew pitch appears to be 5mm / 0.200".
