Hi
The Mac platform is rather void of __free__ CAD software as you will
have noticed :-)
There is however plenty of selection to choose from if you are
willing to pay a few pounds/dollars/shekels.
The decision to go 3D is important, as that usually increases the price.
As mentioned earlier, there is always Lemkesofts CADintosh, RealCADD
is another lower priced item as is MacDraft PE and Cheetah 3D (99 USD)
I also see that TurboCAD (99.95 USD) has been brought out for MacOSX
(again ?) - I've just downloaded it for interest.
My favourite is still Vectorworks (pricey) with Cobalt (or Graphite
for 2D) coming an equal first - PowerCADD is well up there too.
Other options in no specific order are ...
Adobe illustrator with the CAD plugin
EazyDraw
HighDesign
iDraw
Intaglio
Even Appleworks can be useful :-))
There are many specific 3D modelling applications, from the utterly
unaffordable like Maya down to something like Cheetah.
As I said, I mainly use Vectorworks, but have used a few of the
others with perfectly acceptable results when output to my CNC router
(Step Four).
Cheers
Neil
