I think some of you guys here may be able to help, since this is
a mechnnicaly inclined forum and I know people that are usually into
CAD CAM are also into IM. I've also posted in other similar forums
to see if I can get some help.
Is anyone familiar with or own an Arburg C4B IM machine?
I acquired this interesting machine but have no documentation
whatsoever with it. I would live to find someone familiar with this
machine or that has a similar machine with documetnation so I can
try restore it.
The machine looks like its in workable shape and its size is
attractive for someone that likes to do small parts molding. The
machine has a cooling tank underneath with a condenser coil, most
likely for cooling the molds. There is also a side mounted control
box with some controllers that appear restorable.
The head is the neat part about this machine, it can be turned 180
degree to accomodate a small mold for prototyping work, as well as a
much larger mold for light manufacturing, it appears to be
atomatic to some extent.
I am not sure how much these are really worth, but if I can
restore it, I would like to do that, I just need to find the
documentation for such. If not, I'm thinking on putting it on E BAY.
Arburg doesn't support vintage machines. I've already tried them.
Anyone? I posted pictures here for reference.
