I don't have any other meters to try. You could do the test yourself
quite easily. Use a 9 volt battery. Measure some AC source like
the output of a 12 volt transformer. Repeat the reading with the
9 volt battery in series. That should tell you what you want to know.
You could use 120 volt power but you would have to be more
careful.
