deskcnc help

I need some help with my deskcnc setup. I keep getting a controller not detected error. If anybody is using this with a 2nd generation controller I need to know how the com port is configured. (controll panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager -> ports ->communications port ->port settings) I think the bits per second rate should be 115k, but I need the data bits, parity, stop bits, and flow control. I have a new 2nd generation control board, and I just replaced my computer's motherboard, so there are about a million things that could be causing my problem. I'm having trouble getting my modem to work too so I wonder if I have some sort of com problem in the pc.
