Found these here in Indiana look interesting. Looks like they use the
old resistor type drive no chopper. 10 or 15 Amps per motor phase see

in breakout connections and relays. Home Page is

I just found an old New Herms engraver that has 5.5 Volt 1.25 Amps.
Just looking for a cheap way to do some learning wile I'm working
on
an old BP1.
