Vector Cad-Cam XI has been released. New capabilities include an
integrated drawing, job process, and CNC program interface. This
permits a single screen interface for the user to draw parts, plan
machining process, define tools, develop tool paths, simulate the
cutting and generate the CNC program for milling and turning
applications. Machining time is automatically calculated for each
job step and accumulated in total. Tool definitions and technology
can be posted to the CNC program for use as setup instructions and
documentation. Tools, feeds and speeds can be adjusted directly from
the Job table. The integrated interface permits more control over
machining processes and provides more alternatives than stand alone
Cad or Cam applications. The jobs planning capability is now
included in all new Vector Cad-Cam licenses at no additional charge.

Other enhancements include constant Z level, contour parallel
roughing and finishing of 3D surfaces, and optional ramped or
helical plunge methods for pocketing.

Documentation and media are expected to ship in January 2006,
Internet downloads are available immediately.

Vector Cad-Cam was one of the first Windows Cad-Cam programs,
initially released in 1992. The program is a product of Centriforce
in the Netherlands. It is distributed in local languages in
Benelux, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. IMService is the English
language distributor with offices near Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.
