I am a Vector user and am very satisfied with the product. I got it from
Fred Smith at IMService ( http://www.imsrv.com/ ). He has special discounts
for members of this list which are on a separate web page I don't remember
the address for. Fred is also a Bobcad dealer.

When I was originally looking for a CAD/CAM package I kept hearing of night
mare stories regarding shady dealings and poor support with many the Bobcad
dealers except Fred. Sounds like you found one of the less reputable ones.
In my dealings with Fred he has been a straight shooter and never treated
me
in any way other than as a valued customer. Whether you choose Vector or
Bobcad you will not go wrong if yhou are buying from IMService.
