The rutex and mach3 (www.artofcnc.ca) play well together. You can get
good results from properly set up open or closed loop machines. Its
interesting that most new servo amps support digital (step/direction)
and analog inputs. I don't think there is a clear winner on either
approach. I would be more concerned with the controller software.
