Mini mills retro linear slide good idea

I'm looking to build a mini mill with left over linear slides to do
small machining for jewelry. I'm looking for quality and speed.it needs
to machine 4140 steel and wax.3/16 bit will be the largest.
This unit will be on display at outdoor shows making custom jewelry.
I have all the equipment needs to machine on a larger scale but need to
make this portable and accurate and fast. Any Ideas are welcome.
