To use a British comment:

"Ghost" the best thing since sliced bread.

With over 500 Computers having 16 different configurations
and software set-up's at the College, two of us could do a complete
upgrade/update/re-load of the whole lot in one week over the LAN
and would have been quicker if we had the bandwidth.

It took longer setting up the original 16 than uploading to the rest.

Best backup/recovery system I've seen anywhere.
