Ahha will by default, list and accept only files with a .AGC file
extension. You can change that to .CNC, .TXT, or whatever you want, but
all files it's going to execute must have that extention.

Max software will accept any file extension, and I used those extra
three characters to provide additional details about the program.
Typically used P/N for program number, but might have one or two
programs for fixtures, and up to 3-4 programs for various setups.
In these cases I'd use xxxxxxxx.FXx for fixture files, the last x being
a version, for programs, xxxxxxxx.xxx where the last three digits were
versions. Alternately, would use the last three for characters such as
JDK to denote customer. A .OVL would be an overlay, a pattern scribed
or profile cut into clear plastic and used to align certain types of
parts as they are clamped into the fixture.

I just find it limiting at times to HAVE to use the last three
characters for AGC when I could use them for ident if Ahha would allow
it.
