Thanks for the response!
I'm not really sure which numbers are important, so I'll list all
of 'em:
The unit is: 24 pin "Command Vue III" Dot Matrix Printer.
# AK55MO1
on a diffrent sticker on the bottom is:
DIGITAL LA 195 CA AOI
Citizen Watch Company

I've had the thing completely broken down, then hooked all the
wires
back (except the Print head, which I figure I won't need)and sent a
page to print, and it responded with "X and Y" movements appropraite
to the page sent... >
Since I know the X&Y both work, its a matter of "talking the talk"
that this thing can understand. Or, I could cut out (or ignore) the
part
that tells it to print LETTERS, and just make MOVEMENTS on command.
I've had luck before, hacking the steppers/driver out of an old
printer. But the newer (??) units are so minaturized, that its too
small to work on.
