CNCing a rotary table.

Guys,
I just ran across the Division Master company in the U.K., that
sells a small rotary table with a stepper motor, and a digital control
to use it like a dividing head. It started my creative juices flowing,
and I wonder if it would be possible to CNC my 8" rotary table with a
stepper motor, buy a single-axis driver, and use Mach3 to accomplish
the same thing. Any thoughts or suggestions?
